From October 24 to 25, 2018, the 2nd World Farm Animal Welfare Conference was held in Beijing. The conference was co-sponsored by the FAO and the CAPIAC, the ICCAW, Wan Yao Yuanda International Exhibition (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and more than 500 people from the world's leading supply chain procurement group representatives attended the meeting. At the meeting, representatives of the participating parties signed the "World Farm Animal Welfare - Beijing Consensus". The conference is divided into a comprehensive main forum and animal welfare pigs, poultry, cattle and sheep, hummers, and reduction and resistance sub-forums. The two sides agreed to hold the Asia Agro-food Expo 2019 and the 3rd World Farm Animal Welfare Conference in Qingdao World Expo City from September 19th to 21st next year, together with VIV Qingdao 2019, to create an internationally influential Asian agricultural flagship exhibition.

The first AAFEX will be held in Qingdao World Expo City from September 19th to 21st, 2019. It will set up four exhibition sections of animal husbandry, planting, agricultural products, agricultural product processing and logistics. The scale of the exhibition is expected to reach 100,000 square meters, and participating companies will be 2,000, the number of visitors will reach 100,000. Focusing on “food safety”, the Expo will focus on the planning of exhibitions in the major sectors of agriculture and the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, highlighting the professional content of raw materials, technology, equipment, types, brands and services, and building innovative exhibitions and industrial exchanges in Asia's largest agri-food industry. And the business interactive platform, and strive to use three to five years to build Asia's most important "agricultural food industry chain international platform." At the same time, the VIV Qingdao 2019 will be held to open the “One Year Show” era in China together with global industry leaders.
